If you or a loved one are battling the disease of addiction to alcohol or drugs, and are ready to begin your new life of recovery, the caring and experienced staff at Hope House is here to help you.
To begin the intake process, call Hope House at 410-923-6700 from 8 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday and speak to a member of our admissions staff. All admissions inquiries are conducted with the utmost respect for confidentiality and privacy. Our staff will work with you to determine if Hope House Treatment Center is an appropriate place for you or your loved one.
We accept most major medical insurance plans, Medical Assistance, and self pay clients.
Anne Arundel County residents who need help paying for substance abuse treatment and who meet specific guidelines may be eligible for funding through the county’s Opportunity for Treatment Fund (OTF). Call 410-222-0120 for more information.
We will gladly provide transportation to Hope House from anywhere in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area.
Things to bring with you when being admitted for treatment:
~Identification
~Prescribed medications you are currently taking
~Phone card-you will have access to a pay phone
~No more than $20 in bills/change
~Clothing for 5 days-we will supply laundry detergent/washer/dryer
~personal hygiene items
~sneakers/shoes
~ cigarettes, if you smoke
DO NOT BRING: PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS WHICH LIST ALCOHOL IN THE FIRST FOUR INGREDIENTS, AEROSOL SPRAYS OR FRAGRANCES.
Family members and significant others are welcome to visit and stay in touch with loved ones in treatment, with the following guidelines:
Phone calls
Upon admission all clients are subject to a 72-hour phone black-out. This simply means that within the first 3 days of treatment they will not be allowed to make phone calls unless it is approved by and with their assigned counselor. After the initial 72-hour black-out clients will be allowed one 10 minute phone call per weekday and two 10 minute phone calls a day on the weekends.. If there is an emergency, and if you are listed as a contact on the patient's release form, you may call 410-923-6700 and staff will assist you. Patients may not have personal cell phones or PDAs while in treatment.

Hope House Visitation Policy
Hope House Treatment Center understands the value of maintaining healthy, supportive relationships while in treatment. We have developed our Visitation Policy with regards to patient safety and the greater good of our recovery community.
Visitation hours are every Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Guests are limited to three family members or friends per week. Your patient’s counselor will ask for his/her list of visitors on Friday afternoon. Your name must be on the visitation list in order to participate in visitation. Visitation is not permitted the first week of treatment.
Hope House requires all visitors to participate in an educational presentation beginning at 1:00 pm with visiting following at 2:00 pm, each saturday. If visitors are not here for the educational session, they will not be able to visit that day.
Visitors should plan to arrive beginning at 12:45 p.m. to register and sign the required confidentiality form. Please leave personal items such as purses, back packs, cameras and cell phones in your vehicle; they are not permitted in our building during visiting hours. If a package is brought for a patient, it must be checked in at the front desk for inspection by Hope House staff.
Additional visiting hours are held on the first and fourth Wednesday of each month from 7:30-8:00 pm. Visitors may arrive beginning at 7 p.m. to register and sign the required confidentiality form. All visitors are required to attend an educational session following the visitation from 8:00-9:00 pm, if the visitors do not stay for the session following visitation they will not be permitted back into Hope House for further visitation sessions. |
